How long have you been a goalie?
I've been playing goalie since I took it up at 5, so almost 15 years.

Why did you decide to be a goalie?
I decided to become a goalie because I always thought it was so cool to wear the pads. When we were little everyone would fight over it. And I always just thought it was the best position.

What is the best thing about being a goalie?
Best thing about being a goalie is you go into the game with the ability to at least come out with a point. You can tie any game.

Who is your favorite goalie currently playing? All time?
I'm a Crawford guy...

What is the best part of your game?
Best part of my game has to be the ability to read a play. I have pretty good vision. Can see what's going to happen before it happens.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a goalie or a younger goalie?
If someone wants to become a goalie I'd say you have to have a special mindset. Be determined and don't give up. It's frustrating but keep your cool.

What is your most memorable game?
My most memorable game was my first aaa game. We played fury who had cut me. I had 45 shots and stole the game, we won 3 to 2 in a shootout.

My Dad was a goalie. People told me I was good at it. My Dad said I was a better goalie than a forward.

What is the best thing about being a goalie?
I love making saves... and keeping my team in games.

Who is your favorite goalie currently playing? All time?
My favorite goalie playing would have to be Quick and all time would be Dominik Hasek.

What is the best part of your game?
I have been told I have fast feet.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a goalie or a younger goalie?
Forget about a goal scored on you... get ready to make the next save and always do your best to give your team a chance to win.

What is your most memorable game?
October 10, 2015, we played fifth ranked CYA and won 3-1. Huge upset.. we were ranked 43rd and they thought they were going to beat us by 10 goals.

OCTOBER 2015
Jasmine Johnson - Culver Girls Academy (AAA U19)

How long have you been a goalie?
5 Years

Why did you decide to be a goalie?
I just thought that the position looked cool, and I decided to try it, and I loved it. I started in 2010, which held the winter Olympics and the Blackhawks winning the cup for the first time in a long time, and that was very influential to me.

What is the best thing about being a goalie?
I love being able to contribute to the team, and it feels good to have people depend on you. My team needs me to be the best goalie I can be, so I have people to keep me up to my best abilities.

Who is your favorite goalie currently playing? All time?
My favorite goalie playing would have to be either Scott Darling or Corey Crawford. My all time is probably Tony Esposito.

What is the best part of your game?
I would say that the best part of my game is tracking. PADS has taught me different techniques to help to help me stay on angles, and that has helped me a lot during the past few years.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a goalie or a younger goalie?
You should skate and practice as much as you can. One of the first things I remember Coach Roy telling me is that goalies need to be the best skaters on the ice. You should work as much as you can on your ability to skate and your ability to keep up in a full game, so when your team needs you the most you can be there.

What is your most memorable game?
My most memorable game was the state championship game, 2015, with the Highland Park Falcons. Everything that day I felt I was doing well. Tracking, I was even going down in butterfly. My glove and blocker were in the right place, and I was making routine saves, and everything just flowed. We won 4-0, and it was an amazing feeling. Taking the initiative to try and make your game the best you can get you far. When you reach your goal, it's the best feeling in the world.
